Business Safety Watch Meeting - OSHA Update for South Carolina Employers

Did you know that most private‐sector employers in South Carolina are subject to OSHA regulations? Who in your organization is responsible for safety and health standards? This Safety Watch class is a great opportunity to receive an update on OSHA standards in our state. It will be led by David Howell who is the Safety Standards Officer for SC OSHA. David has been with SC OSHA beginning in 2018 as a Safety Compliance Officer who conducted safety inspections and accident investigations throughout SC. Prior to 2018, David worked in public service for 10 years at the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office and Detroit Medical Center. He holds an undergraduate degree from Wayne State University’s School of Mortuary Science. We will also welcome to the CWC Chamber Gwendolyn M. Thomas, CPM who is the State Plan Manager from the SC OSHA Division of SC Department of the Labor, Licensing, and Regulation.

There will also be time for Q&A and networking and a light lunch.
