About the Organization: The Greater Cayce West Columbia (CWC) Chamber of Commerce and VisitorPrograms, located in Lexington County, South Carolina, serves as a dynamic forcefor business advocacy and community engagement in one of the state's fastest-growing regions. The Chamber was recognized as the 2024 NC/SC Chamber of theYear and holds the distinction of being an Accredited Chamber. The organizationconnects businesses, local governments, and residents to promote economicdevelopment, tourism, and regional collaboration.

  • Membership Development: Demonstrated experience in growing andretaining Chamber membership, focusing on value delivery andengagement.
  • Community Engagement: Proven ability to build and sustain strategicrelationships with business, community, and civic leaders.
  • Executive Leadership: 6+ years of leadership experience in a similarenvironment, such as a chamber, economic development organization, ornonprofit.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Highly skilled communicator and relationshipbuilder who can unify diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Public Policy Advocacy: Understanding of policy issues impacting thebusiness community and ability to serve as an advocate at all levels ofgovernment.
  • Strategic Planning: Ability to lead strategic direction and implement plansthat align with organizational objectives.
  • Professional Discretion: Ability to represent the Chamber withprofessionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
  • Public Relations: Skilled in public speaking, media relations, andcommunity visibility.
  • Financial Management: Experience managing organizational finances,developing budgets, and ensuring compliance.
  • Economic Development & Program Management: Knowledge of localeconomic development practices and event/program execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the organizations strategic plan, all incollaboration with the Board of Directors.
  • Lead membership recruitment and retention initiatives that delivermeasurable value to members.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the Chamber in media, community,and professional settings.
  • Represent the Chamber on public policy issues and advocate for local,regional, and state pro-business legislation.
  • Build and nurture relationships with municipalities, schools, businesses,and regional partners to advance tourism and economic initiatives.
  • Provide strategic oversight and management of the CWC Foundation(501(c)(3), including compliance and fundraising.
  • Supervise all staff members, providing annual performance evaluations,and maintaining a positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Oversee budget planning, financial reporting, and operationaltransparency in line with best practices.
  • Manage event planning and programming that serve the needs of thebusiness community and region.
  • Assist the Chairperson and Board in developing policy positions and publicstatements.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational bylaws, policies, and regulatorystandards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, PublicAdministration, Communications, Economic Development, or a relatedfield.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 plus years in leadership roles, withdemonstrated success in a chamber of commerce, visitor bureau, or similarorganization.
  • Skills: Public speaking, strategic planning, financial management, staffsupervision, and membership growth.

Technical Skills:

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/member managementsystems.

 Strong organizational, written communication, and time-managementskills.Compensation & Benefits

 Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience ($70,000 to$110,000)

 Benefits include: Business Expense Allowances, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employer Retirement Contributions, Professional Development Support.
